The Japan Afro-American Friendship Association is building bridges between communities in the U.S. and Japan through cultural exchange, education, sports, and business collaboration. As we prepare for JAFA’s 45th Anniversary in 2026 and the Centennial Commemoration of the 1927 Negro Leagues Baseball Tour in Japan in 2027, we’re excited to welcome enthusiastic volunteers to join our friendly team.

Volunteer Roles
Opportunities include:
Event Support – Assist at cultural festivals, workshops, and exchange programs.
Communications & Outreach – Manage newsletters, social media, and community engagement.
Research & Documentation – Collect historical materials, write stories, and create archives.
Fundraising & Sponsorship – Support donor relations, membership growth, and campaigns.
Youth & Education Programs – Mentor students, plan exchanges, and assist with study abroad initiatives.
